Smoky eye

Smoky eye is a timeless and romantic. A lot of us skip it as we feel it’s too difficult to achieve. A smoky eye can be simple with only few steps. I always recommend starting with an eye primer to prolong the life of your eye shadow and stop it creasing. The Catrice^® Prime and Fine Eye Primer is only €3.99 at Whelehans. A smoky eye does not always mean black; it can be any colour including grey, navy, brown, plum or green. Try a light and dark shade of the same colour. Its recommended to blend the darker colour along the lashes all the way up to the crease of the eye and blend out any harsh lines with the lighter shade. I recommend Elizabeth Arden^® single shadows as they blend easily and are effortless to apply.

Perfect pout

I love a glossy lip at Valentines as it’s so girly! The Catrice^® Lip-Glosses are some of my favourite and only cost €3.49; however they may not suit everyone, especially if you are eating or drinking on the night. Bronzed goddess

I find the best way to achieve a nice glow to my skin is by adding a little bronzer to my face. I use Elizabeth Arden^® Bronzing Duo as it gives a slight shimmer so it reflects light and makes my skin look like its glowing as well as bronzed. This look can also be achieved on a budget by using Catrice^® Shimmering Bronzing powder. Place a little of the bronzer over the cheeks, around the temple and across the top of the forehead. Do not over use as it can look very muddy so a light hand is key.
