Who can get the Spring booster 2026?
You will be offered a booster dose if you are:
· 60 or older
· Children aged 12 or over and immunocompromised or with an underlying medical condition
· 18 or older living in residential care facilities for older adults
If you are eligible for an Spring booster vaccine, you should wait at least 3 months since your last COVID-19 vaccination or COVID-19 infection before getting it. Ask our pharmacist for advice.
You can get a COVID-19 vaccine or booster dose at other times of the year if you:
· never had a COVID-19 vaccine
· are pregnant
· are starting treatment that can weaken the immune system, and you have not had a booster dose in the previous 6 months
Our aim is to have you in and out as quickly as possible, usually about 20 mins. The vaccine will be delivered by injection into your upper arm in the privacy of our vaccination suite.
As is the case with all medicines, vaccines may cause side effects. Not everyone gets side effects, however for those that do, most of these side effects are mild to moderate and short-term.
