Whelehans Pharmacy has been serving the people of Mullingar, Westmeath and surrounding areas since 1898.

From our traditional base in Pearse Street, Mullingar and more recently our second store at Clonmore, Mullingar, we offer excellent and personalized customer service, our friendly and highly trained staff are always on hand to give assistance and advice.

Pharmacy Technician

For Whelehans Residential Care Facility Mullingar

Whelehans Pharmacy Clonmore Mullingar are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician to join our ever-growing team- an amazing opportunity for the right applicant! This role is primarily for a full-time dispensing Pharmacy technician. We specialise in pharmacy services for healthcare settings (e.g.) Nursing homes, Community Care Homes, etc. This role is full time 5 days per week with some Saturdays included.

Candidate should be able to demonstrate the attributes outlined below:

• Hard working diligent individual

• Flexible and adaptable approach

• Ability to work both as part of an existing team and on own initiative

• Experience of working to tight deadlines

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work in a busy and fast paced environment.

• Highly proficient computer skills (e.g.) ECDL and Pharmacy system knowledge

• Familiarity with wide variety of medicine supply and dispensing systems/schemes.

• Previous pharmacy technician experience required.
