Information for those paying nursing home resident bills 

Please note, the GMS Levy is the prescription charge for each item that is dispensed during the month. We would like to emphasise that this is not a charge imposed by the pharmacy or nursing home. It is a charge imposed by the Department of Health. Any items which are not covered on the medical card are charged individually on the statement.

 

If you have already paid a GMS/DPS fee to another pharmacy for the same period as billed, you still need to pay us. However, you will receive a refund from the HSE.
