Keep on top of your game this Autumn / Winter with “new formula” Whelehans Tonic

Posted by Eamonn Brady on

With Autumn arriving, you can already feel the change in temperature, the shortening of the days and a bit of a nip in the air as we head towards winter.

With the busy lifestyles we all have these days, keeping our minds and bodies in tip top shape can be something that is easily overlooked. It’s vitally important to our wellbeing that we make sure that we are taking in enough fuel to get us through the busy days.

Over the years, people have chosen Whelehans Tonic, a simple Iron and Vitamin syrup, to help supplement their diet, boosting their energy levels and helping them maintain their levels of essential vitamins.

The great news is that over the summer, our Tonic has been re-formulated to make it even more beneficial for those looking to make healthy choices for their mind and body. The new recipe still provides the Vitamin and Iron benefits it always did, however the new formulation is now “E Number” free making it a healthier choice than ever before.

What does it do?  Traditionally, each 5ml of Whelehans Tonic is packed with two types of active ingredient to help your body to help you.

Firstly, it contains four B Vitamins (B1, B2, B3 and B12). The primary benefit from these vitamins is to assist your body in releasing the energy stored within the food you eat. These “B’s” perform a variety of tasks within the body from helping to regulate mental function to removing toxins and assist in maintaining cholesterol within the normal range.

Vitamin B12 in particular may help to prevent heart disease and combat depression as it helps in breaking down proteins, carbohydrates and fats.

Secondly, our Tonic also contains high levels of Iron, which helps relieve fatigue, improves the body’s immunity whilst also encouraging restful sleep and preventing insomnia.  For women, there is evidence that iron can ease menstrual pain and boost iron levels if iron is low.

“New formula” Whelehans Tonic is available in both our Pearse St and Clonmore stores, call in and pick some up today.

Supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet. Not meant for long term use. Keep all supplements out of the reach of children
